Prince William Sound came to be well known throughout the world due to the Exxon Valdez oil spill of 1989. It is a jewel in Alaska's varied geological landscape, littered with glaciers, mountains, marine life, abundant bird life and sheltered waterways perfect for gentle exploration. It remains one of my favorite places to photograph, and I've spent countless hours on its waters and shores.
