The Polar bear is a magnificent animal of the world's arctic region, having adapted to live in a harsh and tenuous climate. It is unique in its ability to travel in both terrestrial and marine environments. It's survival is largely dependent upon the fat-rich food source of the seal. Changes in climate have altered polar bear habitat significantly in recent years, and its future is considered perilous by many. These images were taken in Alaska and Canada.
