Wrangell St Elias National Park and Preserve is the largest National Park in the U.S. Located in southcentral Alaska, it is a giant area inhabited by very people. The community of McCarthy, and the historic Kennecott mine are a popular staging points for many travelers. The mountains within the park and big, and it contains 9 of North America's 16 tallest peaks, including Mt Wrangell, one of the largest active volcanoes in the nation.
