Brooks Range
The Brooks Range mountains stretch across Alaska's arctic separating the interior from the arctic north slopes. As the northernmost continental divide, the vast and rugged mountains are breathtaking. One road slices through the range at Atigun pass, creating the highest roadway pass in Alaska. It has been called by some "The Ultimate Mountains." Most of the region is total wilderness and accessible only by plane or river, and few people venture its depths on foot.
