Steese Highway
The Steese Highway is a designated Scenic Byway and connects Fairbanks with the small town of Circle along the Yukon River. The road is a mixture of pavement and gravel and is maintained but the windy conditions on Eagle Summit often cause road closures due to extreme winds and blowing and drifting snow.
